This rewarding volunteer role involves working at our many RSPCA Gold Coast events which are held on the Gold Coast. These include shopping centres stalls, community markets, Santa paws, golf day, trivia nights, fundraising BBQ’s and Million Paws Walk. Volunteers will set up promotional marquees with merchandise items, talk to the public about the work of the RSPCA, accept donations and promote upcoming fundraising events. This position would suit any applicant passionate about helping their local community and those wishing to help raise funds as part of a thriving fundraising group.
The position requires the successful applicant to attend casual shifts based on community bookings. There is no weekly commitment. Full orientation and training is provided. Cash handling is part of this role and the use of a cash register/eftpos machine may be required.
Skills required – Good people skills, cash handling and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
Skills to be gained – Retail, promotional, merchandising and customer service experience.
