Meet Burt, a very lucky Barn Owl that recently came into RSPCA care.

This magnificent bird of prey was picked up by our volunteer Animal Ambulance drivers from the Village Vet Clinic in Logan. Burt was brought into our Brisbane Wildlife Hospital for a check-up by our wildlife veterinarians.

Sadly Burt sustained wing injuries after being caught on barbed wire fencing. After a week in our wildlife hospital receiving medication and treatment, he was sent to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for flight rehabilitation before he can once again grace our skies at night.

We’re looking for more volunteer Animal Ambulance drivers across Queensland.
