Janet has more than 20 years' experience in corporate and organisational communication, international events, and human resources — a diverse background across many industries which has helped her develop a strong general knowledge, a pragmatic approach, and leading strategic planning and project management skills.

A senior manager with one of Australia’s top communication consultancies, Janet’s specialty is in organisational and change communication strategy in both public and private sectors. She has also led corporate communication projects for a wide range of not-for-profit organisations over the years, and is an enthusiastic advocate of the power of volunteers through her roles with the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committees and in event management at World Expo 88. Janet holds a Graduate Certificate of Management from QUT and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.

Janet grew up on the Darling Downs, and is a lifelong rider. She is widely travelled, and loves bushwalking, camping, writing, photography, wild places and wildlife. She is also an unashamed rugby union nut.
