RSPCA Op Shops Making 'Paw-sitive' Community Impact

Community Speaks Op Shops Posted Aug 21, 2023
As the cost-of-living skyrockets, RSPCA Queensland continues to support the state's circular economy by opening more of our beloved op shops.

Whether you are looking for luxury without the price tag, like our stores in Ascot or New Farm, or just good value, like our stores in Brassal or Toowoomba, there is an RSPCA Op Shop near you.

RSPCA Queensland has a proud history of supporting slow fashion in the state, with multiple Op Shops reselling your pre-loved goods. We also collaborated with family business Indara last month helping repurpose furniture in need of TLC for resale.

RSPCA Queensland Op Shop Business Manager David Thompson said you can help animals in need and reduce landfill by shopping with a conscience.

"Shop RSPCA and help animals in need while picking up some great, pre-loved items for yourself."

"The RSPCA op shops are opening in more areas to help keep more items from landfill and more animals to be looked after."

"Fast fashion is a large contributor to land fill, every item sold in the RSPCA op shops will reduce this and help animals in need."

Shopping at an RSPCA Queensland Op Shop means you are spoiled for choice when it comes to what you could discover, including:

  • Fashion and accessories
  • Furniture
  • Appliances
  • Glasswear
  • Blooks
  • Toys and more
