Putting Isolation to Good Use

If you need some motivation to get active from your own home, check out our RSPCA Ambassadors getting their pets involved

As our daily lives and routines continue to shift, having pets around can really help you get off the couch and keep active!

This May, we want you to Walk this May for Million Paws Walk! It’s free to register online and you can set up a cute profile for your pets, log your steps, and ask for donations towards RSPCA Queensland!

For the first time since 1994, Million Paws Walk as a public fundraising event sadly won’t be going ahead due to COVID-19. But all is not lost! You can still help us raise vital funds for animals in need straight from your living room.

If you need some motivation to get active from your own home, check out our RSPCA Ambassadors getting their pets involved:

Brisbane Roar’s Jack Hingert with his RSPCA foster dogs,

Paralympian Susan Seipel taking her cat for a walk and,

Jessica Stafford training her newly adopted puppy with RSPCA School for Dogs.

Will you be ticking off your May to-do list?
  1. Keep active and healthy with a daily walk or playtime with your pet
  2. Keep your pet’s mental and physical enrichment in check
  3. Fundraise for animals less fortunate than your own for Million Paws Walk

For fun tips on creating some do-it-yourself pet toys at home to keep playtime fun and interesting, check out our other blogs: Toss Toy, Tennis Ball Puzzle Toy, Cat Wand Toy and how to use pet enrichment toys.
