Meet Topanga, a gentle and reserved cat who is looking for a loving home where she can feel secure and comfortable.

To Set Topanga Up for Success:

Start in a Small Launch Room: Begin by setting Topanga up in a small, cozy space to help her acclimate. She can become easily overwhelmed in large open areas, so gradual introductions are key.
Safe Spaces Needed: Provide scratch posts, cat trees, and hiding spots like cardboard boxes or cat igloos. Ensure she has access to shelves or dressers for high and low safe spaces around the house.
Patient and Understanding Adopter: Topanga will benefit from a patient adopter who understands that she may be timid at first. She needs time to settle in and reveal her true personality.
Older Children Recommended: A home with older children who can read basic cat body language and respect her need for space would be ideal.
Single Cat Home Preferred: Topanga was brought in with an injury from a cat fight and seems worried by other cats. Therefore, a single-cat home is recommended. She may do well with a calm, social dog if interactions are monitored closely.
About Topanga:

Topanga arrived as an injured stray with a sore, swollen leg. Initially wary, she has gradually started to settle in and form bonds with her handlers. She enjoys gentle attention and some tasty wet food. With patience and care, Topanga will flourish into a loving companion.
