• Toowoomba Shelter Manager Cassandra with RSPCA Qld CEO Mark Townend and John McVeigh MP

  • Turning of the sod

  • Services that will be available at the centre

This week we saw the turning of the sod at our new location for our RSPCA Toowoomba Animal Care Centre to be located at Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport.

John McVeigh MP was on board to help get things started along with RSPCA Qld CEO Mark Townend and Toowoomba shelter manager, Cassandra Vida Ellis.

The need for a new facility to serve the animals of the Toowoomba region has been long overdue and we're excited that progress is being made. Hutchinsons will be building our brand new facility.

Thanks to a federal grant and generous community donors, the new RSPCA Animal Care Centre will be able to house up to 200 animals with spacious kennels, the ability to cater for horses and small livestock, an RSPCA World for Pets store, grooming and hydrobath facilities, boarding options and a wildlife rehabilitation centre.
