We’ve moved! Visit our new Toowoomba RSPCA Animal Care Centre on Saturday February 29, 2020 from 10am for our Open Day. Tours of our facility will commence from 10am until 4pm.

Lot 75 Wellcamp Business Park, Wellcamp.

This project was made possible with funding from the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund.

With the building of our new facility, we’ve been able to transition from our old address without having to close our current operations within the region.

The official opening of our new Campus will be conducted by the Hon Dr John McVeigh MP, Federal Member for Groom. RSPCA CEO Darren Maier says, “John McVeigh was very supportive of the work the RSPCA does in Queensland when he was the State Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. He continued to be supportive when he moved into the Federal Arena and for that, all of us at the RSPCA, are very grateful.”

The RSPCA QLD Toowoomba Animal Care Centre was built thanks to the generosity of the community and the following donors:-

  • Australian Government – Building Better Regions Fund
  • The Jelley Family Foundation
  • The Paul White Foundation
  • Anne Newman
  • The Goldie Knight Fund
  • Ebert Family Charitable Fund
  • Norm Rix
  • Team RSPCA Toowoomba
  • The Constance Ackroyd Trust
  • The Estate of the Late Glenda Bradford & the Late Desmond Guymer
  • The Estate of the Late Maida Shaw
  • The Estate of the Late Michael Vincent
  • Wellcamp Business Park

In 2019, 1,750 animals came through our doors in the Toowoomba region alone. Some of which required care from Animal Ambulance rescues and Inspectorate, cases along with unwanted litters, council animals, surrendered by their owners, and emergency boarding.

RSPCA Qld CEO Darren Maier says, "We are really excited about the opening of this new Animal Care Centre at Wellcamp which will enable us to better care for the animals in the Toowoomba area.”

The new RSPCA Toowoomba Animal Care Centre has been a long time coming and will drastically improve the care we can provide for animals in the Toowoomba region. With better resources and a focus on animal welfare, we will be able to house up to 200 animals on site in spacious kennels and condos, with the ability to also care for horses and small livestock.
